Appreciation Celebration

Our Third Annual Customer Appreciation Celebration was held on Saturday, May 5th. Over 200 folks dropped in for the fun and festivities!

Our newly remodeled store was open, but many of the day's events took place in the parking lot and on the lawn under the "big top" tent.

There was plenty of free food on hand-hot dogs, brauts, chips and more! Suzi's dad, Arvol Zschomler, drove all the way from Arizona to do the cooking.

Pockets the Clown offered face painting and innovative balloon sculptures for the kids. Plus there were games for kids and parents alike.

Chain Saw Artist Terri Seekers of Halfmoon Woodworks was again on hand to demonstrate her artistry. We raised over $500 from the raffle and the "Spin-n-Win" wheel contest. Proceeds went to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Our Newly
Remodled Store

Standing in the foreground are Kent Burns and Jimmy Harteloo, pro guys and valued customers. In the background (and in the photo below) you can see one of the new displays in our newly remodeled store. There are many new features-like improved lighting, new signage, and a better use of space-that make shopping at Amboy Saw and Service a satisfying experience.

Come by and see the new place. Browse through the yard and garden equipment; take a look at the quality Prison Blues work clothing; see he new selection of great STIHL product. And be sure to check out the coupon on our specials page. Bring it in for a nice discount. We hope to see you soon.

Our Float Entry Wins Territorial Days Trophy

The parade. The Timber Carnival. The fun. It was our joy to have once again been a part of our annual hometown celebration. And it's even more exciting because our parade entry (above) won the trophy for Best Commercial Float! That's awesome!

Our heartfelt thanks to all those who came together to make it happen. The float featured live trees reaching through a cloud layer. The cloud effect was enhanced by onboard fog effects. Two eagle kites soared above the clouds. Greg Zschomler of www.creativity-unlimited.biz designed the float and effects.

The trees were purchased from Poteet's Garden Shop and Nursery. Speelyai Bay RV Park provided the flatbed trailer and Vern's Auto Body provided the towing Jeep.

In addition to the parade float, we once again supplied the Timber Carnival with a variety of new saws and equipment. The new loaner saws are then sold at a discount following the event. We are proud to sponsor this event and the men and women of the timber industry. Our only regret, the festivities are over…until next year.
